About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers to provide high-quality support throughout the school day. You'll help pupils develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning while contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting teaching and learning across the primary curriculum
- Working with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning
- Providing additional support for children with SEND and varying learning needs
- Helping to deliver intervention sessions in literacy and numeracy
- Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupil engagement
- Assisting with classroom preparation, activities, and daily routines
- Supporting the wellbeing and personal development of all pupils
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Enjoys working with children and building positive relationships
- Is patient, caring, and enthusiastic about education
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Can adapt to the changing needs of a busy primary school
- Is reliable, organised, and committed to supporting every child's success
- Has experience with children through schools, nurseries, childcare, coaching, youth work, or similar settings (desirable but not essential)
