Secondary Cover Teachers – Swindon, Wiltshire
We are seeking enthusiastic and committed qualified and unqualified secondary teachers with QTS to work in schools across Swindon. These roles involve providing long-term cover for absent teachers, ensuring continuity of high-quality teaching and learning. Positions are available to start immediately, with both full-time and part-time opportunities.
The Role
- Deliver engaging lessons across your subject specialism or a range of subjects as required
- Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with curriculum expectations
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively in accordance with school policies
- Support the academic progress, wellbeing, and development of all pupils
- Contribute to the wider school community where required
Working Hours & Pay
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Competitive daily rates from £140 – £300 per day, depending on experience and role responsibilities
Opportunities for long-term placements within supportive schools
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS preferred but unqualified with proven experience will be considered
- Experience teaching at secondary level (KS3/KS4, KS5 desirable)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A professional, adaptable, and positive approach
