The Role
Are you a Graduate looking to gain high-level experience in a classroom environment? We are seeking a proactive Cover Supervisor to join our team in Barrow-in-Furness. This is not a "teaching" role in the traditional sense; you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students remain on task. Key Responsibilities
- Lesson Delivery: Execute pre-planned lessons across various subjects for students in KS3 and KS4.
- Behaviour Management: Maintain a focused and productive learning environment using strong behaviour management techniques in line with school policy.
- Student Support: Assist students with their work, ensuring they understand the tasks set by the absent teacher.
- Adaptability: Move between departments fluently, managing different year groups throughout the day.
Requirements (What we are looking for)
- Education: Must be a Graduate (any subject) or have significant experience in a coaching/educational setting.
- Presence: A "strong presence" in the classroom with the ability to manage group dynamics effectively.
- Reliability: You must be local to the Barrow area or have a reliable way to commute for an 8:30 AM start.
- Communication: Excellent verbal skills to deliver instructions clearly and concisely.
