Cover Manager & HR AssistantLocation: Barking & DagenhamContract: Full-time, Term-time only

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Cover Manager & HR Assistant to join the team. This dual role combines the efficient coordination of daily cover with providing vital HR administrative support to ensure smooth operations across the school.

Key Responsibilities

Cover Management

  • Organise and manage daily cover for absent teaching and support staff.

  • Coordinate internal cover supervisors and liaise with external supply agencies.

  • Maintain accurate cover and absence records, ensuring minimal disruption to learning.

  • Communicate cover arrangements clearly and efficiently with staff.

HR Administration

  • Support with staff recruitment processes, including advertising vacancies, arranging interviews, and preparing documentation.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files and HR records.

  • Assist with managing staff absence and leave records.

  • Provide general HR administrative support to the Business Manager/HR Officer.

  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, recruitment, and data protection policies.
