Location: Southwark, London
Contract: Full-time, 5 days per week
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a strong academic background and a passion for supporting pupils to achieve their full potential? Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students across core subjects, including English, Maths and Science
- Providing targeted one-to-one and small-group academic support
- Working closely with teachers to help students overcome learning barriers
- Assisting with classroom activities and contributing to a positive learning environment
- Encouraging students' confidence, engagement and academic progress
- Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where appropriate
- Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar education role
- Strong subject knowledge, particularly across core subjects
- A degree is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, proactive and supportive approach
- A genuine passion for education and helping young people succeed
