Full-Time Learning Support Assistant β Core Subjects
Location: Secondary Schools across Greenwich
Contract: Full-time, 5 days per week
We are currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support students across Maths, English, and Science in secondary schools throughout Greenwich. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced LSA who is passionate about education and keen to make a meaningful impact on students' academic progress within a supportive and welcoming school environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-class and small-group support in core subjects (Maths, English, and Science)
- Work closely with teachers to support lesson delivery and student engagement
- Support students with varying learning needs to help them reach their full potential
- Encourage confidence, independence, and positive behaviour for learning
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff where appropriate
Ideal Candidate
- Has previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant in a secondary school
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge in Maths, English, and/or Science
- Holds a degree (preferred, but not essential with strong experience)
- Is patient, proactive, and committed to supporting student development
- Communicates effectively and works well as part of a team
