Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Student Engagement Officer to join a welcoming secondary school in the Corby area.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young people succeed, improving engagement in education, and supporting students to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Build positive relationships with students to encourage engagement in learning and school activities.
- Support pupils who require additional guidance with attendance, behaviour, motivation, and wellbeing.
- Deliver mentoring and intervention sessions to help students overcome barriers to success.
- Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and families to promote positive outcomes for students.
- Monitor student attendance, punctuality, behaviour, and academic engagement.
- Encourage students to develop confidence, resilience, and positive learning habits.
- Assist in implementing strategies to improve student participation and achievement.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience working with young people in education, youth work, mentoring, coaching, care, or support settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to motivate and inspire students from a range of backgrounds.
- A proactive, resilient, and positive approach.
- Excellent organisational and relationship-building abilities.
- An understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management practices.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
