Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive specialist school in Corby to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teacher for a full-time position starting in September 2026. This exciting opportunity is offered on a temporary-to-permanent basis, providing the successful candidate with the chance to establish themselves within a fantastic school community before securing a permanent contract.

The school caters for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and additional communication and behavioural needs. The successful teacher will play a vital role in creating an inclusive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment where every pupil can thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Support pupils in achieving both academic and personal development goals.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, and external professionals.
  • Create a positive classroom environment that promotes confidence, independence, and engagement.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies where required.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
