Role

  • Deliver personalised learning sessions on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, anxiety, and behavioural challenges
  • Adapt learning materials to meet individual student needs and abilities
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with students
  • Encourage engagement, confidence, and emotional wellbeing
  • Work closely with schools, parents, carers, and other professionals
  • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

Ideal Candidate

  • Have experience working with children or young people with SEN and/or SEMH needs
  • Possess strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Be patient, resilient, and adaptable
  • Have experience tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or supporting vulnerable learners
  • Hold a relevant qualification or background in education, youth work, care, or psychology (desirable)
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one
