School Support Officer - Corby

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a reliable, proactive, and enthusiastic School Support Officer to join a welcoming secondary school in the Corby area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who enjoys working within an educational environment and is passionate about supporting both students and staff to ensure the smooth running of the school day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support to students across the school.
  • Assist with behaviour management and pastoral support when required.
  • Monitor attendance and punctuality, following up on concerns as directed.
  • Support students who may require additional guidance throughout the school day.
  • Liaise with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies where appropriate.
  • Assist with safeguarding procedures and student welfare.
  • Support the wider school team with administrative and operational tasks.
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive school environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Experience working with young people or within an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A calm and professional approach to challenging situations.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
