This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and personal development to help them thrive in school.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group pastoral support to pupils who require additional emotional or behavioural support
  • Support students with issues such as anxiety, low confidence, friendship difficulties, and behaviour regulation
  • Work closely with pastoral teams, teachers, SENCOs, and safeguarding leads
  • Help pupils develop positive behaviour, resilience, and emotional literacy
  • Act as a trusted adult, providing consistent support throughout the school day
  • Support attendance, engagement, and positive attitudes to learning

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has experience working with children or young people in a pastoral, support, care, or youth work role
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEMH or behavioural needs is desirable
  • Is empathetic, calm, and resilient
  • Able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils
  • Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
