Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a dedicated and caring Pastoral Support Teaching Assistant to work in a welcoming school in Corby. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and personal development to help them thrive in school.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group pastoral support to pupils who require additional emotional or behavioural support
- Support students with issues such as anxiety, low confidence, friendship difficulties, and behaviour regulation
- Work closely with pastoral teams, teachers, SENCOs, and safeguarding leads
- Help pupils develop positive behaviour, resilience, and emotional literacy
- Act as a trusted adult, providing consistent support throughout the school day
- Support attendance, engagement, and positive attitudes to learning
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has experience working with children or young people in a pastoral, support, care, or youth work role
- Experience supporting pupils with SEMH or behavioural needs is desirable
- Is empathetic, calm, and resilient
- Able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils
- Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
