Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with an innovative education provider to recruit a Construction Tutor for a newly opening Alternate Provision setting in Towcester. This provision builds on the success of an established site in North Northamptonshire and is designed to offer a hands-on, engaging curriculum for students who benefit from a more practical approach to learning.
As a Construction Tutor, you will deliver vocational learning in areas such as basic construction skills, health and safety, and practical project work. You will play a key role in engaging students who may have become disengaged from traditional classroom learning, helping them develop confidence, skills, and pathways for the future.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have experience in construction or a related trade, with a passion for teaching or mentoring
- Can build strong relationships with students and inspire engagement
- Are patient, adaptable, and approachable
- Have experience working with young people (education, youth work, or similar)
- Are committed to supporting students with additional needs or barriers to learning
Teaching qualifications are desirable but not essential for the right candidate with strong industry experience and the willingness to train. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a provision that truly values practical learning and alternative pathways, while also fostering a supportive and collaborative staff culture. This role is offered on a permanent or temp-to-perm basis and will be managed through Tradewind Recruitment. If you are ready to make a difference and help shape a new provision, we would love to hear from you.
