Tradewind are recruiting! Are you looking for your next role teaching History in a school located in Islington? Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a passionate and committed History Teacher to join one of our valued clients based in Islington. This is a part-time, temporary role for the Autumn term, starting from 25th September with the possibility of extension and potential to become permanent. The post is suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
Responsibilities
- You will be teaching History across Key Stages 3 & 4, delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a strong understanding of historical events and themes.
- The successful candidate will be expected to plan and deliver high-quality lessons, assess student progress, and contribute to the collaborative ethos of the Humanities department.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Essential
- Experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4 (applications welcomed from ECTs)
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for History education
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Commitment to student progress and achievement
