We are seeking a dedicated and creative Art / Design Technology Technician to join a network of inclusive and supportive secondary schools across Lewisham. This is a full-time position (5 days per week), ideal for someone passionate about supporting creativity, practical learning, and student achievement.
The Role
As an Art / DT Technician, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day running of the Art and Design Technology departments, ensuring lessons are safe, well-resourced, and inspiring. You will work closely with teaching staff to support practical lessons and contribute to a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing, maintaining, and organising materials, tools, and equipment for Art and DT lessons
- Supporting teachers during practical sessions where required
- Ensuring health and safety standards are met within workshops and studios
- Managing stock, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment
- Supporting students to engage confidently and safely with creative and technical activities
