Tradewind Secondary is recruiting a Music Teacher to work with students in Years 7-11 (Key Stages 3 & 4), with the potential to progress to a permanent position from September 2026. The role is temporary-to-permanent on a full-time basis and is open to early-career teachers (ECTs), experienced music teachers, and teachers looking to gain QTS.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the practical, hands-on curriculum in instrumental music and singing for KS3 students.
- Teach the OCR GCSE specification over three years and the OCR A Level Music course for Key Stage 5.
- Lead ensembles and support the school’s concert calendar.
- Contribute to the wider music department and collaborate with colleagues.
- Participate in extracurricular programmes, including ensembles and performances throughout the academic year.
- Maintain a high standard of health and safety, including obtaining a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified to teach music to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Experience in key stages 3 and 4, or a proven ability to get QTS.
- Strong enthusiasm for developing students’ musical skills.
Working Conditions
- Based in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire.
