Job Title: Mainstream Primary Teaching Assistant Location: Chorley, Lancashire Contract Type: Full-Time (5 Days a Week) Start Date: November 2026 Pay Rate: £92.56 - £97.88 per day Job Description Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking dedicated, enthusiastic, and caring Teaching Assistants to work on a full-time, 5-day-a-week basis within a partner mainstream primary school in Chorley, Lancashire, starting in November 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children's learning and development in a mainstream primary school environment. The successful candidates will work alongside class teachers to support pupils across the primary age range, helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities Provide 1-to-1 and small-group support to pupils to help them achieve their learning objectives. Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities. Support pupils with their literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum learning. Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment. Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and confidence through effective classroom support strategies. Monitor pupil's progress and provide feedback to the class teacher. Assist with classroom organisation and the preparation of learning resources. Support pupil's social, emotional, and personal development throughout the school day. Candidate Requirements Previous experience working with children in a primary school, childcare, or similar setting is desirable. A patient, positive, and enthusiastic approach to supporting children's learning. Strong communication and teamwork skills. The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff. A genuine passion for education and helping children reach their full potential. A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Tradewind Recruitment.
