Are you a degree-qualified Cover Supervisor with strong behaviour and classroom management skills? Do you have a passion for supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Tradewind Recruitment are working on behalf of a well-established SEMH school in Wigan, catering for students across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4. This is a long-term role, starting as soon as possible until July 2026, with the potential to move from temporary to permanent.

The Role
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Provide cover for absent staff across the school
- Build strong relationships with students and staff
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies
- Ensure learning is purposeful, engaging and well-managed
You will be supported by a committed and collaborative team, receive a comprehensive induction, access to ongoing CPD, and have the opportunity to progress into teacher training.
The Successful Candidate Will
- Be confident covering lessons across a range of subjects
- Adapt quickly to different classroom situations
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
- Be a motivated, collaborative individual who can lead and support students effectively
Essential Requirements
- A degree-level qualification (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above, including English and Maths
- At least 6 months' experience working with students aged 11-16
- A positive attitude and genuine desire to work in education
- Confidence managing behaviour in a classroom setting
