Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a full-time Team Teach Trained Behaviour Support Assistant to work across primary schools in the Chesterfield area. This rewarding role involves supporting children who require additional help with behaviour regulation and emotional support within the classroom. Many pupils may have additional needs including ADHD and Autism, so previous experience working within SEND or behaviour support roles is essential.
You will work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to provide consistent support both inside the classroom and within breakout or nurture spaces when required.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional regulation
- Working with children with ADHD, Autism, and additional needs
- Assisting teachers within the classroom environment
- Supporting pupils in breakout areas during periods of dysregulation
- Using positive behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
- Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff
- Encouraging engagement, confidence, and positive learning behaviours
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A valid Team Teach qualification
- Previous experience supporting children with behavioural needs in schools or similar settings
- Experience working with pupils with ADHD and Autism
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their potential
