We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join supportive schools in Chesterfield on a full-time basis, starting in September.
These rewarding roles involve supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, helping them to engage positively with learning and reach their full potential within a safe and nurturing environment.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
- Hold a valid Positive Handling / Team Teach certificate
- Be calm, patient, and resilient
- Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Be confident supporting children with behavioural and additional learning needs
- Be available for a full-time role starting immediately
Responsibilities include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support
- Supporting pupils with emotional and behavioural needs
- Assisting the class teacher with classroom activities
- Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Using positive behaviour management strategies effectively
