The predicted salary is between 20250 - 24750 Β£ per year.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join supportive schools in Chesterfield on a full-time basis, starting in September.

These rewarding roles involve supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, helping them to engage positively with learning and reach their full potential within a safe and nurturing environment.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Hold a valid Positive Handling / Team Teach certificate
  • Be calm, patient, and resilient
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Be confident supporting children with behavioural and additional learning needs
  • Be available for a full-time role starting immediately

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support
  • Supporting pupils with emotional and behavioural needs
  • Assisting the class teacher with classroom activities
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Using positive behaviour management strategies effectively
