Are you a passionate Early Years Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in a supportive primary school? Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Chester. This full-time role offers the opportunity to support young learners during the most important stage of their educational journey, helping them develop confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.

The role is full time starting from September 2026 through until Christmas 2026 with a possible extension into 2027. The role is working 8:30am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Early Years team, supporting children within the classroom and through targeted activities designed to promote learning, development, and positive social interaction.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) classroom.
  • Assisting with the delivery of engaging and creative learning activities.
  • Supporting children's communication, language, and social development.
  • Working with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting independence.
  • Assisting with observations and monitoring pupil progress.
  • Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

To be considered for this role, you will:

  • Have previous experience working with children in an Early Years setting.
  • Have a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and framework.
  • Be patient, caring, and enthusiastic about supporting young learners.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification (desirable but not essential).
