We're working with specialist SEN schools and alternative provisions across Northwich and Winsford who are looking for confident, resilient individuals to join them as Behaviour Mentors and SEN Teaching Assistants.

These Behaviour Mentor SEMH roles involve supporting pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), challenging behaviour, ADHD, and additional needs, so would suit someone who is comfortable working in a structured but demanding SEN and education environment.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in behaviour support, youth work, care, sports coaching, or alternative education settings, where building relationships and managing behaviour are key.

The role:

  • Supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Managing behaviour, de-escalating situations, and promoting positive outcomes
  • Building strong, consistent relationships with pupils
  • Supporting learning and engagement within a structured SEN setting

We're looking for:

  • Experience in behaviour support, SEN, youth work, care, or similar
  • A calm, confident, and resilient personality
  • Someone comfortable managing challenging behaviour
  • Candidates who are available and ready to work full-time
