Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full-time Catering Lecturer to work at a college in Hull, starting ASAP and likely lasting until at least June 2025. Ideally, the school is looking for a temporary to permanent deal, where the successful candidate will spend 12 weeks on a supply basis before committing to a permanent contract with the college.

Payment for this position will be between £20 and £35 per hour depending on experience and qualifications while on temporary, and ranging from £28,900 - £38,900 while on permanent. Working hours for this position will be 8:30 - 4:30, resulting in 35 hours per week.

This role will primarily involve teaching Catering to Level 2 and Level 3 BTEC students. Having experience within the sector is ideal for this role, as it will involve practical teaching as well as theoretical.

The College is located in Hull, and is central, meaning it is easy to reach via public transport from all areas of the city. There is a car park onsite, but there are often not spaces available. Parking at a very local car park is available, with spaces always available, and this can be paid as additional wages.

Tradewind will also support your development during your placement and beyond through our fantastic CPD via The National College. You will be put onto all of the same CPD as permanent staff members and encouraged to grow.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (or the willingness to work towards one)
  • Have experience working within schools in the UK
  • Have experience teaching Catering
  • Have a level 3 or above qualification in catering
  • Have experience within the industry (ideal)
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the full CV History
  • Legal right to work in the UK
