Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to support children with additional needs in a rewarding primary school environment? Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking reliable and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to work in a range of primary schools throughout the Rotherham area. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and who have experience supporting pupils with special educational needs.

Experience supporting children with the following is essential:

  • ADHD
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Additional social, emotional, or behavioural needs

Your Role Will Include:

  • Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and within small groups
  • Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs
  • Encouraging engagement and participation in lessons
  • Helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and communication skills
  • Managing behaviour positively and consistently

To Be Successful in This Role You Should Have:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEND
  • A caring, resilient, and proactive approach
  • Strong interpersonal and behaviour management skills
  • A TA qualification (desirable but not required)
  • Team Teach training or experience (preferred)
  • The ability to adapt to different school settings and pupil needs
