Location: Cambridge & Surrounding Areas

Salary: £95 - £120 per day (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Temporary, Long-Term & Short-Term Opportunities

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic and dependable Primary Cover Supervisors to work across a range of friendly and welcoming primary schools in Cambridge and the surrounding areas. If you enjoy working with children, thrive in a classroom environment and are looking for a rewarding role with flexibility, we would be delighted to hear from you. Every day is different, giving you the opportunity to work across a variety of schools, gain valuable experience and make a positive impact on pupils' learning.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Maintain a calm, engaging, and productive classroom environment.
  • Support pupils with their learning and encourage participation throughout the day.
  • Follow each school's policies and procedures, including behaviour management.
  • Adapt confidently to different year groups and classroom settings across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
  • Provide clear feedback to teaching staff following each placement.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children in a school, sport coaching, youth work or similar setting.
  • Is confident leading groups of children and maintaining positive classroom behaviour.
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
  • Is reliable, adaptable and enjoys working in different school environments.
  • Has a positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for supporting children's education.
