Are you an inspiring Business Studies teacher looking for a new challenge this November? Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-regarded college in Northampton to appoint a passionate and driven Business Studies Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive teaching team and deliver engaging lessons to post-16 learners in a college environment. Whether you’re an experienced educator or a recently qualified teacher (ECT), we’d love to hear from you.
About the Role
You’ll be delivering Business Studies to students at Key Stage 5, covering both A-Level and vocational qualifications (e.g. BTEC). Your role will focus on bringing real-world business concepts to life, helping learners develop the knowledge and skills they need for further education or careers in industry.
Responsibilities
- Plan and teach high-quality, creative lessons that meet the needs of all learners
- Deliver engaging content across a range of business topics including marketing, finance, and enterprise
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and intervention where needed
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share resources and ideas within the department
- Contribute to a positive, professional learning environment and college culture
We’re Looking For
- A qualified teacher with QTS, QTLS, or a recognised FE teaching qualification (ECTs welcome)
- Experience teaching Business Studies at KS5, or a strong understanding of the post-16 curriculum
- A confident classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge
- Someone who is proactive, reflective, and committed to high standards
- An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
