Temporary School Business Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced and organised School Business Manager to join a specialist school on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced school business professional who can quickly become part of an established school team and provide effective operational and administrative leadership. The successful candidate will support the school with the smooth running of its business and operational functions, working closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day business and administrative operations of the school
- Supporting financial management and budget monitoring
- Managing procurement, contracts and suppliers
- Supporting HR and staffing processes
- Overseeing premises, facilities and health & safety matters
- Ensuring effective administrative systems are maintained
- Working closely with senior leaders and external stakeholders
- Supporting the school to operate efficiently and effectively
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience working as a School Business Manager or in a similar senior school operations role
- Strong financial and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience managing budgets, suppliers and operational processes
- The ability to hit the ground running in a temporary position
- A proactive, professional and solutions-focused approach
