This school supports students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC). This is a Temp-to-Perm opportunity, meaning you have the chance to ensure the school is the right fit for you before committing to a permanent contract. The Role
- Plan and deliver a bespoke curriculum for small classes (typically 5-8 students) with varying academic abilities.
- Manage complex behaviours using de-escalation techniques and a nurturing, calm approach.
- Foster a safe learning environment where students feel supported to overcome barriers to learning.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including therapists and experienced TAs, to implement EHCP targets.
- Build strong relationships with students who may have experienced previous educational trauma.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS is essential.
- Experience in SEMH or ASC settings is highly desirable, though we welcome applications from mainstream teachers with strong behaviour management skills.
