Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a reliable and proactive Site Supervisor to support a welcoming school in the Burnley area (BB11). This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced caretaker or facilities professional looking to work within an educational setting, with the potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate. The school prides itself on providing a safe, secure, and well‑maintained environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day‑to‑day operational management of the site.
Working Hours: 37 Hours Per Week
- Monday & Friday: 6:30 am – 11:00 am and 2:30 pm – 6:00 pm
- Tuesday to Thursday: 6:30 am – 10:00 am and 2:30 pm – 6:00 pm
Flexibility will be required to support school events, lettings, and occasional emergency situations.
The Role
As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the security and safety of the school premises
- Carrying out general maintenance and repairs across the site
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Supporting health and safety compliance across the school
- Managing day‑to‑day site issues efficiently and independently
- Assisting with the set‑up of school events and activities
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Essential:
- Previous experience in caretaking, site supervision, or building maintenance
- Good practical maintenance skills
- Understanding of health and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and prioritise workload
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
- A flexible, reliable, and proactive attitude
Desirable:
- Experience working within a school or educational environment
- Knowledge of COSHH, legionella, and fire safety regulations
- Relevant maintenance or facilities management qualifications
