We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Exams Officer to join our specialist education team. This role is central to ensuring that our students, many of whom have faced challenges in mainstream education, receive a smooth, positive, and professional examination experience. As our Exams Officer, you will play a vital role in their journey towards positive transitions into further education, training, or employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Logistical Planning: Oversee secure planning for all assessments, including venue setup, coordination, and the provision of necessary materials.
- Administration: Support the full examination administration process, ensuring strict adherence to established protocols.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for staff and students regarding assessment enquiries.
- Access Arrangements: Manage accommodations and special arrangements for candidates with specific needs.
- Remote Support: Utilise remote communication methods to support staff and students whenever needed.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in coordinating UK assessments from awarding bodies such as AQA, Edexcel, Pearson, and BTEC.
- A good standard of education, including at least GCSE Grade C/4 in Maths and English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Packages.
- A full UK driving licence.
- A current Enhanced DBS Certificate.
