Are you a qualified and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner or Teaching Assistant? We have January 2026 openings for you! Due to high demand, multiple schools across the Fylde coast are seeking dedicated professionals for Nursery, Pre‐school, and Reception roles. These are temporary positions, offering both short and long‐term cover, with working hours typically between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, during term‐time.
Schools currently seeking support are located in Blackpool – Southshore area, Thornton Cleveley's and Fleetwood. All schools have bus routes or tram points available, with parking on the school site available. Pay is between £13.68‐£14.68 per hour with a 30 minute lunch.
You must hold a recognised Early Years qualification. Accepted examples include:
- Early Years Practitioner qualifications
- Children's Play, Learning and Development (Early Years Educator) qualifications
- TA Qualification with a EYFS specialism
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging educational programmes for children aged 0‐5 years.
- Foster a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment for all children.
- Manage daily activities, ensuring each child receives individual attention and support.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents and colleagues.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to enhance their learning.
- Lead by example, demonstrating effective teaching practices and encouraging teamwork.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Drive initiatives that promote social skills, emotional development and physical well‐being.
