SEMH & Alternative Provision Teaching Assistants Needed - Braintree
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? Do you have a calm, caring nature and a natural ability to build strong relationships? We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team in SEMH schools and Alternative Provision settings. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people aged 8-16 with additional needs, including SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health), ADHD, PTSD, ASD and challenging behaviours.
What you will be doing:
- Supporting pupils with additional needs in their learning and personal development
- Working closely with class teachers to create engaging and interactive activities
- Helping children develop social skills and positive relationships
- Maintaining a safe, supportive and nurturing learning environment
- Making a genuine difference to young people's lives every day
What we are looking for:
- A genuine interest in supporting young people, especially those with mental health needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy and resilience
- Previous experience is a bonus - but not essential as full training will be given
The role:
- Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, term time only
- Pay: from £90 per day, PAYE and upwards depending on experience
- Start: ASAP and Temp to Perm options
- Location: Braintree
