We are working in partnership with a supportive primary school in Brackley that is looking to appoint an Early Years Practitioner to join their team immediately. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood development and wants to play an important role in creating a positive start to children's education.
The school provides a nurturing and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to explore, communicate, develop independence, and learn through purposeful play. You will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff as part of a dedicated Early Years team.
The Role
- Support children's learning and development across the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Deliver engaging, creative, and play-based activities that encourage curiosity and exploration
- Promote children's communication, social, emotional, and physical development
- Observe and record children's progress in line with EYFS guidance
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Support children with additional needs where appropriate
- Assist with preparing learning resources and classroom activities
- Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence
- Work closely with teachers and the wider Early Years team to support pupil development
About You
- Hold a recognised Early Years qualification such as Level 2, Level 3, or equivalent
- Have experience working in a nursery, preschool, Reception, or another EYFS setting
- Have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
- Take a caring, patient, and nurturing approach to supporting young children
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enjoy creative, hands-on learning and getting involved in classroom activities
- Are reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting children's development
- Understand the importance of safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
