Tradewind Recruitment is currently supporting a well-regarded primary school in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, which is seeking a Key Stage 2 specialist class teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and committed teacher to step into a supportive, inclusive school environment where high standards and pupil wellbeing are firmly embedded. The school is a one-form entry setting (with two classes in Year 5) and continues to maintain strong outcomes following a positive Ofsted inspection.
The Role
- Full-time KS2 class teacher position with an immediate start
- Responsibility for planning and delivering high-quality lessons that engage and challenge all learners
- Ongoing assessment, tracking and reporting of pupil progress
- Creating a positive, well-managed and inclusive classroom environment
- Working closely with colleagues, parents and external professionals to support pupil outcomes
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with evidence of skills tests passed
- Experience teaching in a primary setting, ideally within Key Stage 2
- A strong understanding of:
- Child development and age-appropriate learning strategies
- Inclusive classroom practice and adaptive teaching
- Effective teaching and learning approaches
- Assessment, monitoring and reporting procedures
