Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for a caring and enthusiastic Before & After School Club Playworker to support a welcoming primary school in the BL2 area of Bolton.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with primary-aged children in a fun, engaging and nurturing environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality wraparound care before and after the school day, ensuring children feel safe, happy and supported while taking part in a range of exciting activities.

As a Before & After School Club Playworker, you'll help create a positive atmosphere where children can relax, socialise and enjoy a variety of creative, educational and physical activities.

You'll work closely with the wider school team to ensure every child has a positive experience.

Key responsibilities

Supervising children before and after the school day in a safe and welcoming environment.

Planning and delivering a range of fun, age-appropriate activities including arts and crafts, games, outdoor play and themed sessions.

Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting children's social and emotional development.

Preparing and serving light snacks while following food hygiene procedures.

Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times.

Supporting children with differing needs to ensure an inclusive environment.

Following school safeguarding, health and safety and behaviour policies.

Building positive relationships with children, parents and school staff.

Assisting with setting up and tidying away equipment each session.

The ideal candidate will have

Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare or similar setting.

A friendly, patient and approachable manner.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

The ability to build positive relationships with children and families.

A flexible and reliable approach to work.

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
