Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a supportive and inclusive Secondary School in Bolton for a full-time Pastoral Support Assistant to start ASAP. This is a long-term opportunity for an experienced education professional who is passionate about supporting young people both academically and emotionally within a secondary school environment.
The school is seeking a committed and resilient individual who can build strong relationships with pupils and provide consistent pastoral support across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will work closely with the pastoral team, teaching staff, and safeguarding leads to help students overcome barriers to learning, improve behaviour, attendance, and wellbeing, and achieve success in school.
This is a rewarding role that would suit someone with a calm and empathetic approach, strong communication skills, and previous experience supporting young people within schools or educational settings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing pastoral and emotional support to students across the school
- Supporting pupils with behaviour management and engagement in learning
- Working with students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups

- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers
