A leading secondary school in Blackpool is seeking a reliable and proactive Evening Lettings & Site Officer to oversee out-of-hours community bookings and manage the evening lock-up and closure of the school premises. Key Details: Hours: Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM (20 hours per week) Location: Blackpool, Lancashire Contract: Part-time / Ongoing Core Focus: Evening hirer support, facility checks, and final site security / lock-up Key Responsibilities: Site Closure & Security: Securing all external gates, fire exits, and internal doors; setting alarm systems; and ensuring the campus is fully locked down each evening. Lettings Coordination: Welcoming sports clubs, community groups, and evening hirers; ensuring booking schedules run on time. Facility Preparation: Setting up sports halls, drama studios, or classrooms ahead of bookings, and resetting spaces for the following school day. Health & Safety: Monitoring visitor compliance with school site rules and conducting regular evening safety walks. Ideal Candidate Profile: Trustworthy, punctual, and confident working independently during quiet closing hours. Practical mindset with strong attention to detail regarding building security and safety. Friendly, professional communication skills when liaising with hirers and the public. Previous experience in caretaking, site security, facilities support, or evening supervisor roles is advantageous (full site induction provided). Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to undergo one).
