The Role & Working Hours
We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and qualified Level 2 EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our team for the summer term. This is a temporary, ad-hoc position with the following weekly schedule:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM (Mornings)
- Friday: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Full Day)
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering a creative EYFS curriculum that aligns with our "Whole Child" approach.
- Uphold and model our core school values: Ready, Respectful, and Safe.
- Utilise communication-friendly strategies to support speech and language development in line with our ELKLAN status.
- Assist with unique, outdoor learning experiences, embracing our bespoke Beach School curriculum.
- Provide a supportive, nurturing environment for every learner, utilising trauma-informed approaches where appropriate.
Requirements
- Qualification: Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent Early Years qualification).
- Experience: Proven experience working within an EYFS setting.
- Attributes: A warm, patient, and empathetic approach that aligns with our inclusive community. Experience or interest in outdoor learning and trauma-informed practice is highly desirable.
- Safeguarding: An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one) is essential.
