The Role
Are you an experienced Primary Teaching Assistant looking for a consistent, long-term role in Blackburn? We are seeking a dedicated professional to support a mixed Year 3/4 class at a vibrant primary school in the BB1 area. This role is perfect for a TA who enjoys the transition between Lower and Upper Key Stage 2, helping students build their confidence in core subjects like Maths and English.
Your Typical Day
- 08:45 - 15:15: Full school day support.
- Classroom Support: Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and resource preparation.
- Small Group Interventions: Leading focused sessions for literacy, numeracy, and Phonics catch-up.
- Break Times: Enjoy a 30-minute unpaid lunch break plus 30 minutes of paid welfare duty, ensuring student safety during midday play.
Key Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience working within a UK Primary School (specifically KS2 is a bonus).
- Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred).
- DBS: A valid, enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Location: Ability to commute to the BB1 area of Blackburn daily.
- Personality: Patient, proactive, and able to build strong relationships with 7-9-year-olds.
