Year 3/4 Primary Teacher - Blackburn (BB1)

Location: Blackburn, Lancashire (Postcode: BB1)

Pay: £85 per day (M1 - M4 Scale)

Contract: Full-Time, Temporary

Start Date: Monday, 23rd February 2026 (Post-Half Term)

End Date: July 2026 (End of Academic Year)

The Role

Are you an inspiring educator looking for a Key Stage 2 teaching job in Blackburn? We are seeking an adaptable and passionate Year 3/4 Teacher to join our dedicated team from the February half-term until the end of the summer term. This is a full-time class teaching responsibility covering a mixed LKS2 class. You will be stepping into a well-supported environment with an established curriculum and a dedicated Teaching Assistant to help ensure a smooth transition for the pupils.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning & Delivery: Create and deliver engaging lessons tailored to a mixed-age Year 3/4 class.
  • Assessment: Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback in line with the school's marking policy.
  • Classroom Culture: Maintain a positive, inclusive, and high-achieving learning environment.
  • Parental Engagement: Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student development.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside the KS2 lead to ensure consistency across the year groups.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential.
  • Experience: Proven track record of teaching within Key Stage 2.
  • Adaptability: Ability to hit the ground running and build quick rapport with students mid-year.
  • Location: Based in or able to commute to the BB1 Blackburn area.
  • DBS: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is highly preferred for a fast-track start.
