Tradewind is partnered with a small, friendly, and supportive primary school situated in the heart of Blackburn. The school is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team from April to July 2026 to cover a period of maternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent classroom practitioner who is passionate about teaching and learning in Key Stage 1.
The successful candidate will have high expectations of all pupils and a strong commitment to ensuring that every child achieves their full potential.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is an excellent teacher with a proven track record of raising standards in Key Stage 1.
- Has strong knowledge and understanding of early phonics teaching (experience with Little Wandle, Letters and Sounds, or a similar scheme is highly desirable).
- Can plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that inspire and motivate children.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and a caring, consistent approach.
- Works effectively as part of a small, close-knit team.
