Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for passionate individuals to offer behaviour support in our schools and alternative provisions near central London. The majority of roles are full time, long-term roles with opportunities to secure permanent salaried positions.
Schools, PRUs and alternative educational settings:
- Tradewind work in partnership with a number of specialist schools who cater for young learners with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
- PRUs or pupil referral units help to educate and support students who have been permanently excluded from mainstream school or those who are at risk of exclusion.
- Some young people may also be school refusers and have additional special educational needs.
- Classes tend to be smaller in these settings and students are given a higher level of specialised support to help them engage, focus and succeed!
The role:
- Supporting students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
- Helping students manage their behaviour.
- Helping students gain a better understanding of their emotions.
- Encouraging and promoting student engagement in learning activities.
- Working as a key player within the support network.
- Celebrating every success!
For your application to be successful you will need:
- Experience of supporting children/young people with SEMH.
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- To be open-minded and have a positive and supportive approach.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must have legal right to work in the UK.
