Teaching Assistant in Alternative Provision SEMH TA - Bedford, Bedfordshire
Immediate start - £90-£115 per day depending on experience

Tradewind Recruitment are currently partnered with a secondary Alternative Provision school on the outskirts of Bedford who are looking for an experienced and resilient teaching assistant to join their team!
About the school:
This alternative provision caters to primary ages pupils, normally KS2, allowing them to learn in smaller groups in a more supportive and holistic environment. Their facilities include a kitchen, classrooms, a recreation and contemplation area for students, a music room, and a one-on-one room where students can discuss any concerns they are having with teachers. Class sizes are capped at 6 and the role of TA here will be to support the whole class as well as to support pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small groups of 2-4. The curriculum also includes a range of unaccredited programs that students can participate in during the year, such as enrichment projects.
About you:
- Having experience working in a primary/secondary/sen school in the UK is essential
- SEN experience is essential
- The ability to support secondary aged students both academically and emotionally
- Able to work with students with different needs and adapt to their learning
- Available full time - Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm
- Obtain a child only DBS on the Update Service
