Are you a graduate or a master's student looking to gain hands-on experience in secondary schools and possibly considering a career as a teacher? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking Trainee Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Bath, supporting lessons and gaining valuable insight into teaching and classroom management.
We are particularly interested in candidates with strong subject knowledge in Maths, English, Science, and Humanities. This is an ideal role if you are considering a career as a secondary school teacher or simply want experience working with young people in an educational setting.
The Role:
- Supervising and managing classes of up to 30 students aged 11-18
- Following lesson plans set by the teacher to ensure pupils remain engaged and focused
- Maintaining a positive, safe, and productive learning environment
- Developing confidence, classroom management skills, and teaching experience
Who We're Looking For:
- Graduates or master's students with a strong knowledge of secondary school subjects
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
- Passionate about education and working with young people
- Confident and able to manage classes effectively
- Positive, enthusiastic, and with a great sense of humour - personality and a "can-do" attitude are key to engaging students!
No previous classroom experience? No problem. We provide FREE full training, which is essential to complete before you start working with us.
Hours & Flexibility:
- Part-time: 3 days per week (ideal for students on a 20-hour visa)
- Full-time: Up to 5 days per week, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
- Term-time only, with ongoing work available
Pay & Benefits:
- Rates of pay: £90 per day for new trainees, up to £120 per day for more experienced staff
- PAYE, paid weekly
- Gain practical experience to support future teaching applications
- Build confidence, communication skills, and classroom management experience
