About the Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will plan and deliver tailored lessons, supporting pupils academically, socially, and emotionally. Working alongside a team of specialist staff, you will help pupils develop confidence, independence, and resilience. Pupils may have:
- Autism or other neurodivergent profiles
- Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- ADHD and associated behavioural challenges
- Communication and interaction difficulties
- Gaps in learning due to disrupted education
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons for pupils with SEND
- Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Encourage independence, engagement, and self-confidence
- Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to meet pupils' needs
- Track pupil progress and contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from teachers who:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, or complex needs
- Are calm, patient, and resilient
- Communicate effectively and work well within a team
- Are passionate about making a difference for vulnerable learners
Experience in specialist or therapeutic education settings is highly desirable but not essential.
