We are seeking adaptable and enthusiastic Secondary Teachers to work across a network of partnership secondary schools in the Barnsley area. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers who enjoy variety and flexibility, delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Assignments will include day-to-day cover as well as short-term placements, providing vital support to schools while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects to KS3 and KS4 students
- Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Adapt quickly to different school settings and expectations
- Ensure continuity of learning during teacher absences
- Provide feedback to permanent staff on student progress and behaviour
- Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching in UK secondary schools (KS3 & KS4)
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Flexibility and confidence teaching across multiple subjects
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive and professional approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
