About the Role
This part‑time Teaching Assistant position is ideal for someone passionate about supporting students with additional needs. You will work closely with the SENCO and classroom teachers to provide tailored one‑to‑one and small‑group support for students with Autism and ADHD, helping them to engage positively in lessons and make good progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing one‑to‑one and small‑group support for students with Autism and ADHD
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
- Supporting students with emotional regulation, focus, and classroom participation
- Implementing strategies to promote positive behaviour and learning
- Liaising with teachers, parents, and the SEN team to monitor progress
- Contributing to a positive, nurturing classroom environment
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience supporting students with Autism and/or ADHD (essential)
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Good communication skills and ability to build positive relationships
- Experience within a secondary school setting (preferred but not essential)
- A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
