Tradewind Education is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to work on a full-time, short-term basis at a secondary school in Doncaster, starting as soon as possible.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maths Teacher or ECT looking to join a supportive school environment and make a positive impact on students' learning and progress.
The Role
As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective mathematics lessons across the secondary age range, helping students develop their knowledge, confidence and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the school's curriculum.
- Teach engaging, well-structured lessons that meet the needs of students with a range of abilities.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Maintain high expectations of behaviour, achievement and student engagement.
- Differentiate lessons and resources to support individual learning needs.
- Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider school staff.
- Contribute to departmental planning, assessment and school initiatives where required.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attainment.
- Follow the school's safeguarding, behaviour and health and safety policies.
Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge across the secondary Maths curriculum.
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A commitment to raising student attainment and achievement.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- A professional, reliable and flexible approach.
- An enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
