For a teacher who enjoys the pace and challenge of Upper Key Stage 2 but isn’t necessarily looking for a long-term commitment, this could be the ideal role for the run-up to Christmas. Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a confident and experienced Year 5/6 Teacher to join a larger-than-average primary school in Ashton-Under-Lyne, Tameside on a full-time basis for the Autumn term. This is a short-term block booking, offering the security of regular work within one school which offers competitive pay rates and a fair work-life balance.
The school is 2.5-form entry, meaning teachers benefit from working alongside year-group colleagues rather than planning in isolation. Planning responsibilities are shared across the team, with established schemes, policies and expectations already in place.
A secure knowledge and understanding of the UKS2 curriculum will be particularly important, with the teacher expected to deliver engaging lessons while maintaining high expectations for both learning and behaviour.
