Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Tameside from September 2026.
This is a full-time, long-term role to support children at the beginning of their learning journey in a nurturing and inclusive Early Years setting.
Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging learning activities tailored to the Early Years curriculum.
- Promote children’s social and emotional development and well-being.
- Help create a safe, stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of activities that support the EYFS Framework and child development.
- Support inclusive practices and maintain high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.
Qualifications
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential).
- Recent experience working within an Early Years setting.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, reliable, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
