Location: South Northamptonshire

Setting: Alternative Provision (New Site)

Contract: Permanent

We are proud to be working exclusively with a high-quality Alternative Provision school that is opening a brand-new site in South Northamptonshire. As part of this exciting expansion, the school is looking to appoint Tutors specialising in Functional Skills English, Functional Skills Maths, and Construction.

This provision supports young people who have been permanently excluded from mainstream education, alongside students with SEMH and additional needs. The school operates with a strong belief in small, structured, and supportive learning environments, with class sizes capped at six students to ensure every learner receives individualised support.

As a Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, accessible, and practical learning tailored to students who may have experienced significant barriers to education. Functional Skills English and Maths Tutors will focus on building confidence, literacy, numeracy, and real-world application, while the Construction Tutor will deliver vocational learning designed to engage students through hands-on, practical skills.

Each class is supported by a dedicated Teaching Assistant, allowing Tutors to focus on teaching, relationship-building, and progress. You will work closely with pastoral staff and leadership to ensure learning is trauma-informed, consistent, and aligned with individual needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who is passionate about alternative education and wants to be part of a forward-thinking, growing provision. The school places a strong emphasis on staff development, offering clear training and progression routes, ongoing CPD, and opportunities to develop specialist expertise or progress into leadership roles.

If you are patient, adaptable, and motivated by seeing real change in young people's lives, this role offers a highly rewarding career path within an exceptional setting.
